This merry month I performed a rash of training and support for AutoCAD Civil 3D Survey and Surface creation. A recurring theme seems to be

Anyone who trains and helps folks in AutoCAD Civil 3D runs into the “All in one” drawing. In this drawing the user builds the existing surface. The drawing also contains the design alignment and profile data too. Maybe they even get as far as an attempt to build a roadway rehabilitation corridor to repave that city street. What about the Color standards that we employ in our Production Solution products? As usual the question has more to do with publishing than color per se. Old school CAD CTB thinking tends to stick in our heads. CTB think tends to force color into a state of permanency. STB on the other hand liberates how we may employ color in our workflows.Read more
