Folk complain that AutoCAD Civil 3D is not really user friendly about Site Design. The complaint is true if you insist that site design in Civil 3D should be like it was for years in Land Desktop. Unfortunately, about the only thing Civil 3D has in common with Land Desktop is it’s use of similar but historically deceptive Ribbon names such as Surface, Grading, Parcel, and Alignment.

It’s Production Solution upgrade time. I chatted with a customer about his Jump Kit upgrade last week. He was particularly concerned that we were still supplying our additional Imperial Assembly Tool Palettes for AutoCAD Civil 3D. Yep. There is no such thing as a nonlinear corridor in Civil 3D by definition. Is this then a mythic post? Are we talking about Corridors of a Third Kind? Not really.
