People organizations and make AutoCAD Civil 3D implementation too big a deal. It isn’t rocket science. Civil 3D is a software tool. It may be a big, new tool, so a bit of caution is probably in order. The fact of the matter is, we actually already know how to do it. We’re engineers.

Earlier this month there was a barrage of tweets about the stock templates that ship with AutoCAD Civil 3D. By in large everyone seems to agree Autodesk’s stock templates are pretty pathetic. Many users attest they are “useless” or worse. There were a few tweets that contained replacement characters like #@$%.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), Highway Division has posted thier CAD Standards for AutoCAD Civil 3D on thier website.
