Happy All Hallows Eve! Spooky news for all.

Oct 31, 2011 - Autodesk released the Volumes Dashboard for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 for Autodesk Subscription customers.

The Volumes Dashboard for Civil 3D 2012

The Volumes Dashboard for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 is now available for download from the Autodesk Subscription center. The new tool provides a easy to use workflow for calculating, reporting and visualising earthwork volumes. The tool is available for all AutoCAD Civil 3D and Infrstructure Design Suite subscribers.

The Volumes Dashboard is an English language tool but can run on any language version of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012.

On-line help and a video are available here.

The latest set of acronyms employed by Autodesk is a bit scary and confusing to me.
Last spring we got AIDS (Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite).
That is followed this fall by a new form of VD (Volumes Dashboard) for AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Is this subliminal advertizing or something?
Are engineers supposed to be repressed or something?
Oh yeah. I get it. Viral marketing!
Otherwise I think some people should be paying more attention to the details.

Dear Autodesk Marketing,

I'm sorry. I have no reason to embrarass anyone. I held off posting the painfully obvious as long as I possibly could. VD was just too much on top of AIDS.
