In early October Autodesk officially released a new Subscription benefit for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 and 2016 IDS products named the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Transportation Extension. Meant to be coupled with the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 1 released in early August you’ll get a rasher of new a useful tools added to the Civil 3D Toolbox. No interface changes allowed in mid-stream you see.
What you missed Civil 3D Productivity Pack 1?
PP1 includes a better version of the COGO editor among other significant goodies like an Earthwork Plan and Production tool.
You have the need, get up to speed.
2016 Transportation Extension
There are both new Toolbox Reports and new Toolbox Productivity Tools as is common for these Civil 3D Development team offerings. The reports and tools are not necessarily targeted at road and highway design work despite Autodesk’s name for the extension. OK. You are getting the results of Autodesk’s continuous improvement work mostly done for the DOTs and other folks in the transportation sector.
