Dragged a comb across my head. Had a cup of coffee as I sat down to take shock after the weekend. To be fully transparent, I happen to be awake not woke. I was horrified to discover that morons had taken over the country. If this was a here and there or just a once in a while, it would be one thing. We all, can and do, manage suffer fools. Comes with the political territory.
These days it appears the IYI (Intellectual Yet Idiot) think spreads faster than the latest versions of the COVID virus. It seems apparent the Chinese Communist Party managed to let loose that nasty thing which they built with the help of the folks who still help to manage the US COVID response. Huh?
Clearly, we all know by now the virus is tuned to kill fat old folks like me.
To quote a 60’s folk hero – “Missed by that much.” Eheh.

You Have to Be Kidding!
The Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark A. Milley, suggests firmly before a Congressional panel that members of the US Armed Services need to be encouraged to read blatant Marxist propaganda. OK. To know thy enemy is one thing. His purposeful vaguely expressed opinion is something else again. Somehow Milley manages to conflate that enemy with us. I’d quote Pogo, but that might confuse things for the unwary even further.
To be clear - Structural Marxism, Marxist Humanism, and Social Fascism are all antithetical to the oath this man has taken, the US Constitution, and the principals of our Republic. All these political dogmas state that this fact is so. To foist the current adaptations of that philosophic, failed drivel on any persons is literally a case of Crime and Punishment.
Clearly, General Moron Milley must have missed or miss-read Solzhenitsyn who has some serious things to say about these matters.

Say It Ain’t So
The Attorney General of the US, Merrick Garland, (a past nominee for the Supreme Court?) announces the US Justice Dept is suing the State of Georgia over the State’s recent voting rights legislation. That legally passed legislation restricts voting rights in that State less than the existing voting rights in the State in which Merrick Garland currently resides - Maryland.
Maybe a little historical reading about armed insurrections in Maryland would help clarify matters for Merrick the Moron. Why certain persons signed the Declaration of Independence is certainly beyond him.

This is a reprint from Garland’s public press announcement of two weeks ago on the topic of the US Justice depts new war on “organized domestic terrorism”. I will spare you the whole thing.
“Our current effort comes on the heels of another large and heinous attack – this time, the January 6th assault on our nation’s Capitol. We have now – as we have then – an enormous task ahead: to move forward as a country; to punish the perpetrators; to do everything possible to prevent similar attacks; and to do so in a manner that affirms the values on which our justice system is founded and upon which our democracy depends.
The resolve and dedication with which the Justice Department has approached the investigation of the January 6th attack reflects the seriousness with which we take this assault on a mainstay of our democratic system: the peaceful transfer of power.
Over the 160 days since the attack, we have arrested over 480 individuals and brought hundreds of charges against those who attacked law enforcement officers, obstructed justice, and used deadly and dangerous weapons to those ends.”
Merrick The Moron went on and on and somehow studiously and mysteriously somehow managed to avoid employing the words Antifa or Black Lives Matter in his lengthy remarks on domestic terrorism. Mind you that there are obvious armed camps in multiple US cities as he says this.
More persons and police were injured in previous Washington DC riots by those folks according to public records and press video. As far as I can tell, hardly anyone was arrested, charged, and held as a result of those earlier riots which lasted for many days if not weeks. There is an exception or two.
And They Knew
Within and directly after every pandemic in recorded history there have been bloody riots. In some cases, this violence may have killed more people than the disease. The Red Summer of 1919 comes to mind. It started earlier by all accounts.
As far as I can tell, no one from any political party, government agency, or media company bothered to mention this significant historical fact in advance.
Notably no PSAs were produced featuring celebrities warning of this obvious and apparent danger.
The infamous three monkeys approach never worked before.
Let’s try that again.
Insurrection? What Insurrection?
I always try to remind folks that no single heroic member of the US Congress acted in person to address the “mob” and take any personal action stop the Capitol event. The phrase Craven Cowards comes to mind.
The video of the Members returning to session later that day each surrounded by armed pairs SWAT team members tells us all we need to know about that day and the months thereafter.
I believe the Capitol is still in a state of armed lock down unless I missed something? I believe that is a notable historical first.
In the Capitol “riot” almost all the people charged were charged with trespass or other minor misdemeanor offenses. Some had to be charged with long-unused nuanced statute offenses cocked up during the Obama administration when no other charges could be found.
Many of the accused and arrested appear to remain or did remain in jail for months after the event. DC Public Defenders seem to have required some defendants to apologize in court for politically incorrect racial behavior for reasons unspoken. No persons have been charged for that.
Many of these folks appear to have walked into the Capitol, chatted with the Capitol police, and simply left. Many charged did not even recognize there was a riot going on. It was a demonstration after all.
For reasons unknown, but by now fairly apparent, the Capitol police were woefully unprepared for the planned scope and size of the demonstration. Denial of Service sometimes comes in handy.
No guns were found or illegal weapons confiscated during the event.
How is That Armed?
As I recall this is armed:

In retrospect, it is easy to miss the recurring themes in all the Dirty Harry movies.
The Real Deal
No actual illegal weapons were employed or at least no person has yet to be charged with the same at the Capitol. Bear Spray, baseball bats, and flag poles seemed to be the only “illegal” weapons employed.
As yet no one has been charged for employing bricks, rocks, or frozen water bottles as weapons. These were frequently employed against police in many previous DC riots by parties unnamed.
One person has been charged with illegal possession of firearms in Washington DC, but not for possession of the same on the Capitol grounds. He was charged based on what he bragged in statements to police.
The only person killed in the events at the Capitol was an unarmed woman who was shot by, an as yet unnamed, Capitol policemen.
I have historical relatives who were assassinated in cold blood by federal agents. I can sympathize.
Official Agitators
It is clear from some of the filed charging documents, that agents and informants for the FBI and/or perhaps the US Justice department itself were active instigators and/or active participants in the worst of the “rioting”.
For some reason, those facts sound strangely familiar.
Conspiracy Theories?
To date no legal representatives for any plaintiffs have been allowed to see and/or review Capitol video recordings or videos summitted by others to the Justice Dept.
As I recall, somewhere there is a thing called suppression of evidence which appears to get the FBI and the Justice Dept in trouble a bit too often.
All the above is a matter of public record.
What we think and do about these matters is the practical issue.
It will be interesting to see if Google shadow bans or buries this post.
