How to Create and Modify Styles: 8/14/12 at 10:00 AM CT
Learn how to customize your styles by either creating new ones or modifying current styles. This class will start with the basics of what can be modified and how to modify styles, and then dive deeper into more advanced styles. Styles will range from point styles to alignments to profile view styles to give a large range of application. After seeing the styles for several objects you’ll find that many of the same settings can be changed in the same way for different objects. This class is crucial for all AutoCAD Civil 3D users that haven’t mastered styles yet.
Working with the Survey Database and Without: 8/16/12 at 8:30 AM CT
Learn what advantages there are to using the Survey Database and the advantages to not using it. This class will clearly explain both aspects and allow you to choose which method will work best for your organization. The pros and cons will be laid out with examples showing how to use the program to aid in your decision.
Grading Volumes: 8/22/12 at 10:00 AM CT
Demonstration of how to examine proposed surfaces through volume calculations. There are a couple ways to get volumes from a grading group or proposed surface, these methods will be shown. Also we will show how you can balance a surface using the utilities in Civil 3D Grading Groups.

This class will walk through two specific processes. The first will walk through creating a detention pond in Civil 3D using feature lines, grading groups, and surfaces.
