Aug 31, 2012 - Autodesk released a hotfix for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 specific to FARO point cloud files.

The new FARO file format issue
Users who try to index FARO (.fls) files, of the new format, will now be able to index the files and open/attach them in Civil 3D 2013.
This hotfix updates the FARO files on the users machine
There are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the hotfix.
