Aug 6, 2026 – Autodesk released the Autodesk Civil 3D 2026.2.2 Update, the Grading Optimization for Civil 3D 2026.0.3 Hotfix, and the Vehicle Tracking 2026.1 Update
The Autodesk Civil 3D 2026.2.2 Update is available via the Autodesk Access app or via download from the Autodesk subscription site.
The Grading Optimization for Civil 3D 2026.0.3 Hotfix is available via the Autodesk Access app or via download from the Autodesk subscription site.
The Vehicle Tracking 2026.1 Update is available via the Autodesk Access app or via download from the Autodesk subscription site.
The updates require access to the original install resources.
Official release date is Aug 6, 2026.
The Civil 3D 2026.2.2 Update cannot be uninstalled.
To restore Civil 3D to a prior version of Civil 3D 2026, you must uninstall Civil 3D 2026 and reinstall it.
The Civil 3D 2026.2.2 Object Enabler Update must be installed for the related Autodesk apps - raw AutoCAD or Map 3D to run without errors.
It is recommended that you install all Windows Updates prior to installing these updates.
There are recent releases of important Autodesk integration code that may be required to install and/or successfully deploy these updates:

Grading Optimization for Civil 3D 2026.0.3
The Grading Optimization for Civil 3D 2026.0.3 Hotfix will update Grading Optimization for Civil 3D 2026. This update requires Civil 3D 2026.2.2 or later.

Vehicle Tracking 2026.1 Update
The Vehicle Tracking 2026.1 Update will install Vehicle Tracking 2026.1 for the 64-bit Operating Systems. Vehicle Tracking 2026.1 has been updated to run on .NET 10.
This release also includes security updates to third-party components.

Autodesk Civil 3D 2026.2.2 Update
The Civil 3D 2026.2.2 Update migrates Civil 3D to the Microsoft .NET 10 runtime and incorporates the latest AutoCAD 2026.1.2, Map 3D 2026.0.4, and AutoCAD Architecture 2026.0.2 platform updates.
There are significant AutoCAD performance improvements and fixes included in the above Updates.
The Update updates the integrated Dynamo engine and includes security updates to several third-party components, including Zlib, the ArcGIS Maps SDK, and RealDWG.
This update also addresses an intermittent issue where Civil 3D could close unexpectedly; an issue where the relative path to data shortcut source files could be removed after migrating a project, causing data shortcuts to appear broken even though the source files were still available; and issues in the German version of Civil 3D where Set Grade/Slope between points did not work for feature lines and Pond quick edit did not work correctly with slope and grade.

Fixes Issues
COGO Points
- Fixed an issue in the COGO Editor where only the first segment of a traverse polyline was displayed, while the remaining segments and associated COGO points were not displayed correctly in Civil 3D.
- Fixed an issue in the COGO Editor where the Traverse Closure and Adjustment Report produced incorrect results, causing the resulting traverse polyline to extend to the origin (0,0) instead of forming the expected closed shape in Civil 3D.
- Fixed an issue in the COGO Editor where creating a traverse polyline from manually entered raw data generated incorrect boundary geometry in Civil 3D.
Assembly/Subassembly
- Fixed an issue where Enum parameter values were silently replaced with incorrect values when a custom subassembly PKT was updated to SAC 2026.
Data Shortcuts
- Fixed an issue where the relative path to data shortcut source files could be removed after migrating a project, causing data shortcuts to appear broken even though the source files were still available.
- Fixed an issue where Data Shortcut XML files could be unexpectedly modified when opening a host drawing, resulting in broken references for other users. This fix addresses a known scenario but may not cover all cases.
Feature Line
- Fixed issues in the German version of Civil 3D where Set Grade/Slope between points did not work for feature lines.
Pond
- Pond quick edit did not work correctly with slope and grade.
Reference Templates
- Fixed an issue in which the scale of a locked viewport changed after attaching a reference template.
Other
- Fixed an intermittent issue where Civil 3D could close unexpectedly.
