New Features and Enhancements

Delete Files Confirmation

  • Users are  now asked to confirm the deletion of files in the Desktop Connector Home screen.

Default Number of Projects

  • The default number of Projects managed by the Desktop Connector is increased from 30 to 60 projects.

Improved File Exclusion List

  • .lock and .dat files were added to the Desktop Connector file exclusion list

Issues and Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where Desktop Connector was crashing when Autodesk Identity Manager has not been installed. Added a new dialog box to inform the user to shut down Desktop Connector and install Autodesk Identify Manager
  • Created a dedicated page to assist users when upgrading from v15.x to version 16.x of Desktop Connector.
  • Diagnostic logs will now be collecting unsynced folder information and placed in an UnsyncFolderData.txt file.
  • Fixed an issue where Excel files were not versioning up properly and were instead being deleted and placed in the deleted items folder in Docs, only to be uploaded as a new version. This fix helps ensure that Excel files now correctly version up when uploaded, preventing them from being deleted and stored in the deleted items folder.
  • Resolved a sync issue where one user has a file opened at the time that another user updates the file, the first user may be put into a bad state. In this bad state, the first user may not receive updates for other, unrelated files.
  • The Properties box in File Explorer is now functional. It was previously grayed out.

CAD Workflows

  • Infraworks model files (IWM) will no longer be synchronized to the cloud from Desktop Connector.
