The Autodesk Civil 3D 2021.1.1 Hot Fix is available via the Autodesk Desktop Connector app or via download from the Autodesk subscription site.

Close all running Autodesk applications prior to installing this Hot Fix.

The Hot Fix install requires access to original Civil 3D 2021 install resources.

The Hot Fix addresses an issue that causes Civil 3D 2021 to close unexpectedly when creating a new drawing or opening an existing drawing.
The Hotfix resolves several stability issues including where the STARTUP system variable is set to 2.
