The Autodesk Coordinates Transformation Tool provides vital tools for civil engineering projects where a user may need to transform Autodesk Civil 3D objects from one coordinate system to another within the drawing environment.

The tool allows for horizontal transform, vertical datum transform, and vertical units transform from US Survey Foot to International Foot and from International Foot to US Survey Foot.

The Transform Tool provides a comprehensive report of what was transformed along with the before and after coordinates to ensure the accuracy of the transformation results.

Enhancements

• The left bottom point of the extents of an alignment is now the origin for transformation and scaling.
• Added the ability to keep original design parameters of an Alignment for Free and Floating entities to maintain design intent.
• Added the ability to create two Alignments on transformation: one with transformed geometry, and one with both with transformed geometry and modified parameters. This allows for comparison of the two Alignments.
• Newly created Alignments and their Sample Line Groups now follow the layer settings on the Object Layer tab of the Drawing Setting dialog box.
• Enhanced reporting to provide detailed changes of the Alignment and Profile geometry.
• The Data Interpolation Method now only appears in the Transformation Options dialog box for Vertical Datum Transformations for better usability.
• Added the ability to set the target coordinate system to the current drawing after using the Coordinate Transformation command.
• Added a warning message for coordinate system transformation failures.
• Fixed a stability issue that occurred when using the Coordinate Transformation Tool on a drawing containing an Alignment with a design Profile.
