Aug 6, 2026 – Autodesk released Autodesk Revit 2026.5 Update and the Autodesk Revit Interoperability 2026.5 Update
The Autodesk Revit 2026.5 Update and Autodesk Revit Interoperability 2026.5 Update are available via the Autodesk Access app or via download from the Autodesk subscription site.
These updates require access to the original install resources.
The Revit 2026.5 Update does not support uninstall.
Once Revit 2026.5 Update is applied Revit 2026 cannot be reverted to its pre-update state.
The official release date is Aug 6, 2026.

The Revit 2026.5 Update and Revit Interoperability 2026.5 Update introduce support for .NET 10, improving compatibility, security, and interoperability across Autodesk desktop products. In addition, the update includes overall stability, performance, and security improvements, along with fixes to key interoperability workflows and platform components.
Revit 2026.5 introduces updates based on .NET 10, which may cause compatibility issues with other products and addons.
Update Roombook/Areabook/Buildingbook for Revit 2026 to Roombook/Areabook/Buildingbook for Revit 2026.5 to function properly.
Update Revit Admin Add-Ins Manager 2026 to Revit Admin Add-Ins Manager 2026.5 to function properly.

Enhancements
.NET 10 Support – Change from .NET 8.0 to .NET 10.0
- As Microsoft will stop providing updates for .NET 8.0 after November 10, 2026, Revit 2026.5 has been updated to support .NET 10.
- Because Revit 2026.5 is based on .NET 10, compatibility issues may occur with third-party products and addons. Software developers are encouraged to transition to .NET 10.0. Custom applications targeting .NET 8.0 should continue to function, except in cases where changes or removals in .NET 10.0 introduce compatibility issues. If you encounter any issues, ensure that all Autodesk products and components are updated to versions that support .NET 10. If issues persist with third-party addons, please contact the addon developer for assistance.
