It’s time for Autodesk University. Enjoy. Behind the scenes Autodesk has released a number of hotfixes for AutoCAD based products. Some of the hotfixes are for products as far back as AutoCAD 2013 based products. The Autodesk hotfixes and Service Packs that effect AutoCAD Civil 3D are all listed and the links and read me files can be found in posts on our News page.
Manual Fix Me
If you employ the Autodesk Application Manager and an Infrastructure Design suite (IDS) do recognize that these hotfixes do not currently appear there. Even the important September release AutoCAD 2016 SP1 does not yet appear in the Application Manager. It is now on the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 support download page.
It usually happens that Autodesk will often release new Hotfixes and Service Packs in and around AU. That makes sense. If customers complain, they can be told to check the Hotfixes. "There are new ones. Next question?"
The hotfixes will be incorporated in the next series of Service Packs, but times appear to be changing inside Autodesk. It may be time to bring back Hotfix and Service Pack list pages from days gone by.

The AutoCAD support download pages provide links to all of them. Here’s a summary of the latest pre-AU hotfixes that effect AutoCAD Civil 3D is various versions. There are hotfixes or service packs available for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015, and even AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016.
AutoCAD 2015 SP2 Windows 10 Compatibility Hotfix
Nov 19, 2015 – Autodesk releases support for Windows 10 for AutoCAD 2015 SP2 based products
The AutoCAD 2015 SP2 Windows 10 Compatibility Hotfix fixes issues with AutoCAD 2015 products that may cause crashes in Windows 10. This hotfix was released basically in conjunction with the Fall Update for Windows 10. One assumes it supplies fixes for that build of Windows 10.
This hotfix applies to all AutoCAD based 2015 products. This includes AutoCAD 2015, AutoCAD Map 2015, and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015.
This hotfix requires that you locate and replace four key files in your AutoCAD 2015 product’s installation. You also need to check the versions of the installed files BEFORE replacing them.
AutoCAD 2013-2015 Raster Image Vulnerability Hotfix
Nov 10, 2015 – Autodesk releases a vulnerability hotfix for AutoCAD 2013 to AutoCAD 2015 based products.
The AutoCAD 2013-2015 Raster Image Vulnerability Hotfix addresses security issues where a “specially crafted” raster image may cause and allow malware code to run on your computer.
This hotfix applies to all AutoCAD based 2013, 2014, and 2015 products. This includes all versions of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
The hotfix will fix and patch all installed versions of these software installed on the computer.
AutoCAD 2015 New Tab Hotfix
Oct 31, 2015 – Autodesk released a Hotfix for all AutoCAD 2015 based products
The AutoCAD 2015 New Tab Hotfix deals with the issue that cause AutoCAD based 2015 to crash when attempting to open files on a disconnected resource via the New Tab interface.
This hotfix requires you to manually to locate and replace your old acad.exe with the proper 32-bit or 64-bit version that you download.
