Autodesk recently released an Update for Civil 3D 2024. The Autodesk Civil 3D 2024.3 Update includes new workflow Enhancements and performance upgrades for Corridor workflows and a significant list of performance improvements and fixes to the Civil 3D code.
The Corridor workflow improvements include the ability to select multiple Alignment/Profile pairs or Features Lines (e.g. islands in a parking lot) and quickly create a multiple Baseline Corridor from the result. The Civil 2024.3 Update also significantly improves the performance of Corridor rebuilds.
The were important improvements to the behavior and load performance of Civil 3D project Working Folder for Data References (DREF). That includes the ability and option to employ multi-threading technology to the Working Folder subfolder searches. Simply put, Civil 3D handles the DREF Working Folder and loads of larger numbers of Projects more quickly and robustly in common LAN-based environments. Hoorah.
The Framework Products and the Update

Corridor Workflows
- Added support for creating multiple baselines while generating corridors:
- Select multiple baselines during corridor creation.
- Select two types of baselines, including alignments and profiles/feature lines, during the corridor creation process.
- Expanded selection options for feature lines used as baselines:
- filter feature lines by Name, Style, Layer, and Site to narrow down the selection scope.
- Edit multiple baselines and assemblies during corridor creation.
- Note: when editing multiple baselines and assemblies, the shift key needs to be pressed continuously.
- Add code set styles during corridor creation, eliminating the need to edit the corridor after creation.
