All the basic mechanics of Dynamo they don't tell you but you need to know in an hour.
It is important to remember that Dynamo for Civil 3D 2022 by default employs Python 3.
This may require that you update scripts from the old 2.7 syntax to the new 3.0.

Thanks, Kyle. Nice of you to cover the mission critical nature of the Surface model's Edit stack order.
It might be a better idea to create and maintain your combined surface models in a separate project drawing(s). Then employ them as DREFs in your design and publish drawings.
Managing the surface model's data interactions and potential updates is easier to create, maintain, and update that way.
