Using the Civil 3D 2016 Extract Corridor Feature Lines Tool
How to Use the Civil 3D 2016 Extract Corridor Feature Lines Tool
A video from a Jeff Bartel's YouTube channel see the Autodesk Civil Immersion blog.
Since the C3D 2013 Productivity Pack is included in Civil 3D 2017 this is also listed and a new feature in 2017.
Jeff does a better or more detailed job of showing how it works here. You will say "ooooo" at the interactive border section.
If you deal with grading interaction issues and complex corridors this tool is better than hot sliced bread, butter, and wild clover honey.
Spend a little time and invest in a proper Code Set Style. That helps you from being overwhelmed. See the Flines Only one in InstantOn.
Why and How to Use LineWorkShrinkWrap in Civil 3D
A video from a post from the Autodesk Civil Immersion blog by Jerry Bartels.
The useful LineWorkShrinkWrap command has been around longer than you may recognize and undocumented.
I for one tend to forget about it and then pound my head on the keyboard when I remember.
The April 2016 Dave and Dan Show
The Dan and Dave Show returns with the release of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017.
The reasons for and the multiple new product features of the 2017 AutoCAD Civil 3D release are covered here.
Autodesk did some substantive work for the development of C3D 2017. Enjoy!
WARNING: Civil 3D 2017 includes new features that are not backwards compatible although the AutoCAD DWG file format is the same.
