Autodesk's Jeff Bartels covers a detailed review of potential uses and methods for AutoCAD Field functionality.
This video is part of the 30-Minute Workout series on the Civil Immersion site.
See the Jeff Bartels YouTube Channel.
and the Civil Immersion blog.

Funny. Jeff employs a lot of examples of similar field functionality that are in employed in Sheet Sets.
Jeff's nifty demo trickery to use fields in both Tables and related Labels can come in very handy.
Maybe you are thinking...Yes. We can use fields in blocks and even ACAD dynamic blocks.

Open the Corri Door to On-Site Grading

Open the Corri Door to On-Site Grading

John Armendariz, CAD Coordinator at Kimley-Horn shares some method and practice about from moving from a Civil 3D Feature Line only workflow to a more Corridor centric workflow.
See the Autodesk University Class Session.

John's first step method is to learn to employ simple Corridors with a Set of various Assemblies to produce Breakline content for a Civil 3D design Surface.
The second step method is to then employ a Feature Line based Molded (or intermediate Surface) to drive the vertical control for a bunch of site details.
The basic details and usage of the supplied Assembly details are demoed effectively in the video.
The Molded Surface attach plan is briefly demoed in the last section of this session.

 Create Better Geometry with MAPCLEAN

Create Better Geometry with MAPCLEAN

Autodesk's Jerry Bartels delivers an exploration and detailed review of MAPCLEAN geometery clean up and creation functionality in Civil 3D.
This video is part of the 30-Minute Workout series on the Civil Immersion site.
See the Jerry Bartels YouTube Channel.
and the Civil Immersion blog.

If you don't employ MAPCLEAN often in your daily work, you don't know or understand what you are missing.
Please. Do not ignore the important fact that you can externalize into a library of standard resources the MAPCLEAN process files and specifics.
