Be careful to size the area of interest appropriately and do not ignore the coordinate system details.
It is easy to produce a very large surface from the public USGS DEM datasets.
The Civil 3D 2026+ release performs better with larger surfaces.
Civil 3D 2026+ also allows us to further clip the surface when it is DREFed into other drawings.

These useful Corridor editing commands can come in handy for real performance reasons.
Say we want to hash out the picky details in a short Region of a Corridor and then apply all the particular details to larger sections of the Corridor.
This Corridor method also works well as a divide and conquer strategy and/or as a replacement strategy to refine the Corridor design specifics as a project progresses.
