All this important AutoCAD View setup work seems unnessary unitl we realize the work also translates into quicker and easier View setups in the plotted Viewports in our production Layouts.
The AutoCAD Sheet Set Manager looks for defined Named Views in our Project drawings. Imagine that.
Pay careful attention to all the many properties that we can save with a Named View in AutoCAD.
We save the annotative scale. Do we want to save the Layer State or not?

To employ these Civil 3D Style tools successfully we must know the source of our Known Good Style collections.
Be warned! The Style Import Tool does NOT import and/or check All the Civil 3D Style collections. Check for missing Style types in the Tools tree of the Style Import Tool in each release of Civil 3D.
We can employ the Insert/Explode method and the Blocks Palette to add entire Style collections to a drawing. This will not overwrite Style definitions.
We can update all the Styles in a drawing from a .dwg or .dwt file to another by employing the first resource as a Reference Template (TREF).

This is a part of a multiple video demo of the classic Feature Lines Only mechanics to grade the top surface of parking lot in Civil 3D.
Civil 3D DTM surface models by definition do not support curves. How much detail is suitable for the task at hand?
This simple demonstration of basic breakline edit reality and functionality begs we ask the what level of detail is suitable question not just the classic civil/survey accuracy and precision ones.
Speaking of curve balls to the unwary...
Nick's Feature Lines were intentionally built with the Stepped Offset Tool. The Feature Line data points are effectively parallel. We may not always be so lucky.
