8/9/2024

Autodesk's Jeff Bartels reviews the method and practice to model a skewed Corridor in Autodesk Civil 3D 2025.
This demo details all the many steps necessary to develop a solution to this common problem in civil design.

The walk-through highlights many of the recent and important Corridor interface improvements made in recent releases of Civil 3D.
Jeff employs the concept of a twin (or intermediate) Corridor and Surface to build the interactive design control for the final design Corridor.

This is an important Civil 3D skill set worth learning.

In daily practice, we probably want to take the time to DREF the Reference Corridor (and all that design control) out of the construction drawing. Why?
We will almost always have additional Corridor-based design elements like the proposed bridge abutments (and/or the bridge itself) to construct that are also related to the same Reference Corridor design control.
