Sadly, the instructor misses the most important nuances of Selection with the Shift to Add option and Grip edits. Turn Shift to Add on.
This allows us to focus our selections quicker and with more specifics.
How else could we select multiple things to Copy or More and/or employ multiple grips to make specific edits?
Practice with multiple types of AutoCAD primitives and the many Civil 3D Features is the only way to acquire production level skills.

This is a good demo of how to use the Slide Line Parcel Creation tool option.
The review of each of the Parcel Tool settings and the Parcel parameters is the most useful portion.
The direction which we define the frontage and/or whether we choose to define the frontage in sections is also important but left unsaid.

The other sneaky trick is to preplot all those resolved DREF, XREF, and even IREF files in our project drawings to the DWF format.
A preplot to DWF and the use of them as IREFs to produce deliverables substantially reduces both the plot time and file sizes at crunch time. Hoorah.
