This basic CIVIL 3D FUN video dicusses how to employ the Surface Edit Order stack to fix some common Civil 3D surface build and resolution problems.

The Surface Edit Order stack and the build properties of a Civil 3D Surface (not covered in the video) are important to understand and know how to adjust or fix.
It's understandable to falsely relate the Surface Build Order to the AutoCAD Draw order, but we get the idea.

The other hidden nasty is to understand how the buried away Site-based Feature Line Style Priority properties can effect Feature Line resolution in Civil 3D.
In other words, the Feature Line Site assignment and the employed Style names of Feature Lines that might interact can make Surface resolutions problematic.
