I almost never import any of the survey data into the drawing when I load data into a Survey Db. There's no immediate reason to do so and a ton of good reasons not to.
Ok. It shows something in a quick demo.
Are we always so lucky that a raw data file has no other data import issues that need to be fixed? You can always import the Network Feature to take a peek if it makes you happy.
The only thing that really made me cringe here was Alan not setting up the Survey Db in a coordinate system.
I consider it is good practice to do this all the time, so you don't forget the mechanics when you must do it.
