Named Views are a Civil 3D must do. I am still annoyed that Civil 3D doesn't just make them for ViewFrames in ViewFrame Groups.
Autodesk has historically made Named Views a confusing to the unwary. They continue to call new AutoCAD product features Views.
Shared Views in the 2019 products being the latest new kind of View.
