John Armendariz, CAD Coordinator at Kimley-Horn shares some method and practice about from moving from a Civil 3D Feature Line only workflow to a more Corridor centric workflow.
See the Autodesk University Class Session.
Comments
John's first step method is to learn to employ simple Corridors with a Set of various Assemblies to produce Breakline content for a Civil 3D design Surface.
The second step method is to then employ a Feature Line based Molded (or intermediate Surface) to drive the vertical control for a bunch of site details.
The basic details and usage of the supplied Assembly details are demoed effectively in the video.
The Molded Surface attach plan is briefly demoed in the last section of this session.

Jowenn Lua walks through a solution for corridor resolution with problematic perpendicular corners in Civil 3D.
From the Autodesk AKN Civil 3D Screencasts
See Jowenn Lua's AKN page
Comments
This is a workable but complex solution to the common problem of purely perpendicular targets in corridor resolution.
Both an intermediate surface (from another corridor) and Assembly Offsets are employed in the workflow.
You have to ask...What if you change the design plan and employ Offset Alignments, Slope Controlled Profiles, and Widenings?
Regions and a few added Frequency stations are required.

Kyle Groves, a Technical Specialist at ATG, delivers a detailed review and demo of Connected Alignment functionality in Civil 3D.
From the ATG YouTube Channel.

Connected Alignments are one of the best and most useful design things in Civil 3D. Without them you are basically toast.
Kyle delivers both good reasons why and how to employ them to a classic intersection problem.
He includes some great intructional Alignment fundamentals and some intermediate to advanced Connected Alignment tips and tricks along the way.
