An IMAGINiT Technical Specialist, reviews the basics of the AutoCAD SCRIPTCALL command versus the classic AutoCAD SCRIPT command what what we might do with that.

The SCRIPTCALL command is one of the most powerfull tools to customize Autodesk Civil 3D.
The quick and dirty short video covers how to make SCRIPTCALL work. The command works in all AutoCAD platform products.

SCRIPTCALL can be employed and called with the Civil 3D Batch Save Utility to upgrade, update, and modify projects full of Civil 3D drawings. Whoa!
The many famous Framework for Civil 3D Spreadsheet Tools are designed and built to generate SCRIPTS to be employed in SCRIPTCALL scripts to manage Layers, Blocks, and many other common standards inside Civil 3D.

Manual Superelevation from a Civil 3D Profile

Manual Superelevation from a Civil 3D Profile

Autodesk's Alan Gilbert details a method to employ a targeted Civil 3D design Profile to generate Superelevation properties for a Corridor.
This video is part of the 30-Minute Workout series.

Yes, manual Superelevation design is possible in Civil 3D.
Hint - You will probably need a spreadsheet to calculate the critical Stations.
As nice as they are, Autodesk Civil 3D's supplied Superelevation Tools and catalogs do not cover all circumstances or standards.

Alan's detailed method employs a simple custom Subassembly Composer PKT to translate Profile elevation properties into Slope properties.
The PKT is then inserted before the other subassemblies.
The PKT calculated values from the elevations of a Civil 3D design profile are passed to other subassemblies via Assembly Output parameters defined in the PKT.

If your projects are similiar, a well-planned, detailed, an executed integration of Civil 3D and Quantity Take-Off for Corridors (Code Set Styles), Pipe Networks (Part List), Pressure Pipe Networks (Parts List) is pretty slick and mighty useful.

If your projects are varied, a well-planned, and generic a simplified QTO integration can also be very useful to simplify general estimates.

A targeted build up of the Level of Detail in the QTO resouces and reports over time usually works better than a do everything at once approach. QTO can be initially overwhelming.
